Sub-Initiative

Clean Cooking Initiative

Our Clean Cooking Initiative at TASI is dedicated to promoting and facilitating the use of clean and efficient cooking technologies and practices. The primary goal of the initiative is to improve household air quality, reduce indoor air pollution, decrease the reliance on traditional and often harmful cooking methods, and enhance the overall health and well-being of local communities.

Since TASI was founded in 2021, national efforts to support different initiatives ranging from campaign, awareness, and mobilizing resourceful approaches to address clean cooking have made progress. Compared to a decade ago, millions more families now have access to and are using cleaner, more modern stoves and fuels. Several initiatives and global communications and advocacy efforts have been made both local through collaborative efforts have paved the way to ensure that clean cooking is made part of the national agenda.

Areas of Focus

Introduction of Clean Cookstoves

Promotion and distribution of clean and energy-efficient cookstoves that use cleaner fuels, such as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or electricity. These stoves produce fewer emissions and are more environmentally friendly.

Awareness and Education

Raising awareness and providing education about the health risks of traditional cooking methods and educating local communities on the benefits of clean cooking technologies.

Partnerships and Funding

Collaboration between government agencies, non-governmental organizations, international development partners, and private sector entities to create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable cooking environment for households, particularly in rural and low-income communities.

Real Engagement

Energy Advocacy

Clean energy is a cornerstone of our Lindi operations. We don't just talk about industrial skills; we empower households with clean cooking solutions to protect the environment and health.
